　　ViewMAX is a full featured down converter that automatically locks to interlaced or non-interlaced computer sources with resolutions up to 1600x1280 pixels. Proprietary digital signal processing techniques are used to convert the high-resolution source video to NTSC or PAL composite, S-Video (Y/C), Betacam, and RGB output (SDI output optional).

　　The unit offers advanced features such as dynamic "camera-like" pan and zoom, one-button View Presets, and adaptive flicker reduction filtering to provide crisp flicker-free output images. Pan and Zoom allow an input area of interest to be scaled to fill the output display. This area of interest may consist of the full image or a selected input "window". Independent horizontal and vertical scaling parameters are provided to support aspect ratio conversion and adjustable underscan. Once adjustments are complete, the output image characteristics selected by the operator can be stored as a View Preset. The unit can store up to 32 user-specified View Presets in nonvolatile memory for subsequent recall, including four settings assigned to the front panel View buttons for quick recall.

　　Outputs can be genlocked to support studio applications. ViewMAX may be controlled via user-friendly front panel menus or via an external RS-232 or RS-485 serial interface. The front panel interface supports menus for selection of picture settings, system options, test patterns, and image adjustment. These features can also be selected via the serial interface to support real-time remote control.

　　ViewMAX-DVI

　　The ViewMAX-DVI supports all of the features of the standard ViewMAX unit, but also accepts high resolution video in digital (DVI) format.

　　DVI video is becoming increasingly popular as computers are interfaced to LCD displays. The use of digital video provides the highest possible image quality. DVI video from the computer is routed to the ViewMAX-DVI unit. ViewMAX-DVI automatically locks to the incoming video and provides an active DVI loop-through to drive the computer display.

　　ViewMAX-PRO

　　ViewMAX-PRO supports all of the features of the ViewMAX-DVI as well as serial digital component 4:2:2 (SDI) video output and video mixing/keying functions.

　　The digital video output provides a high quality image that is compatible with standard-resolution video peripherals. The mixing/keying circuits allow the operator to mix a standard-resolution video in NTSC/PAL composite, S-Video (Y/C), Betacam, or SDI format with the output of the down converter to support text and graphics overlays.

　　Typical applications include the overlay of computer generated song lyrics, sermon notes, show announcements, and graphics onto a externally supplied mixer video. The result is an output image that contains both the background mixer video and a computer generated image overlay.
